Financial Fortitude Workshops

The chapter hosts free seminars with our community partners to promote small business development and to highlight local small businesses. Our goals are to help entrepreneurs understand the process of business development and to provide resources through engagement with community partners. Other workshops focus on financial issues such as home ownership and foreclosure, savings, investment and management, and providing information for startups and entrepreneurs.

Black Money Matters

The chapter has partnered with Jackson State University Women's Business Center and Jackson State University Small Business Development Center to host Black Money Matters. The event provided attendees with information concerning starting a business and how to obtain resources that are available for startups. Area small business owners and entrepreneurs also provided tips and shared some personal insights during their entrepreneurship journey.  Tips for creating longevity in black businesses through infrastructure building was provided. In addition, a discussion on the effects of stress and the importance of self care as business owners was also held.

Boots and Brims
